Hello, and welcome. I'm a writer and journalist based in the UK. This place is a collection of my writing, including essays that have no other home. My online notes are now here. It might also advertise my work:

A book about videogames, our lives, and the lives of people in far away cities. Dwell magazine said it was "like a New Yorker article that you wish would never end."
Buy it here.
Much of my writing isn't in paper form, although I do write for PC Gamer, Wired, Edge, and many other exciting, glossy magazines. On the internet you can find my regular column over on Offworld, and the rest of my ramblings at the world's greatest single asset: Rock, Paper, Shotgun.
Follow my Twitter here.
Read my Tumblr notepad here.

So the digital era finally catches up with the old “scissors, tears and vengeful fire” method of editing ex-lovers out of your photograph collection.

Do you really think this is impressive? Its like getting all excited by the healing brush in photoshop.

Maybe it’s not that exciting for experienced designers, but I had no idea such complicated visual processing was even possible.

Hey that is cool - I like image enhancing etc.
Any one know of where there is a decent description of the algorithm or is it a case of working from this
Cheers

sorry, didn’t mean to come across all black polo necked.
I just know alot of producers who would love an app like this, if they could convert our job to the press of a button I’m sure they would.
